British Railways Mark 1 Coaches

Lionheart trains is proud to announce the launch of a new line of exquisitely modelled Mark 1 coaches. The range will initially include the BSK, SO, SK and the CK variants of the coach with five liveries being prepared:

BR, Carmine and Cream, BR WR, Chocolate and Cream, BR Maroon BR SR Green and BR Blue. The Lionheart Trains model is based on the early rendition of the Mark 1 Coach built between 1951 and 1960. The Commonwealth variant built after 1961 will be modelled in subsequent batches of models.

Lionheart exclusive livery EP is here!

Number 4549 was built in January 1915 and scrapped in December 1961, originally based at Kingsbridge. In 1924 the frames were extended by adding a 9th packing piece to the rear of the frame allowing the bunker to be enlarge increasing the coal capacity.

Since the announcement of the Mk1 coach project at Warley in November 2017 work has been progressing nicely. All the CADS have been approved and the tooling for the coaches has been produced. It is expected that the first EP’s of the Mk1 coaches should be available for public Viewing at the O Gauge Guild summer show at Doncaster 2018.

45 XX Development Update 1

Work on the 45XX locomotive has been progressing nicely since its announcement. The CADS for all three variants that Lionheart are producing have been now been approved. Artwork for each of the models is currently underway. The project will be going into the tooling shop imminently.
